Life without dad is hard. There is no other way to say it.

I try to sleep, but am constantly woken up by the pain I feel from the void I now have.

I am beyond lucky and thankful for my family and who I do have, but it is not the same without dad.

I decided to continue this blog. At first I could not imagine writing a blog post without him here. But then I thought to myself. What else would I do at 3AM when I can't sleep!?

So here I am. Sitting in dad's recliner in the "command center" as he called it, at 3:49AM writing a blog post.

Yes, we are moving. I am so excited to share this news. We have recently accepted an offer on our home in Middletown, and will be moving to dad's house very soon.

I could not be more thankful to be moving to my childhood home. My husband has learned to love Middlefield as well. He is beyond excited to get to cut the grass on dads mower, and think about how dad would tell him what he did wrong. I have to say, he did an amazing job with his first cut!

The dogs LOVE it here. Mason and Sophie have already been chasing the bunnies and mice. Dad would have loved having dogs on the property to keep the mice away.

For those of you who are not aware, we will continue to have little tag sales here and there to thin out some of his items we do not care for. Such as old pictures that were on the walls (sorry dad). There are some furniture items for sale. Please contact me if you would like to see pcitures.

Please stop by if you hear about a tag sale! Even if you do not want to buy anything, you know dad would want you to come over and have a beer with us!

I do want to make sure I thank every single one of you that follows this blog, that checks up on me, that helped so much when dad was alive and still helps now that he is gone. I am beyond blessed to have such an amazing support group. Dad would be SO PROUD of you all. What his friends, family and community did for him was unbelievable. WE THANK YOU. (P.S. I am very behind on my thank you cards).

Have a Kenny Strong Day!
